The RSD Food Security Program launched in March 2015 as an attempt to improve the immediate availability of and access to food at the household level for the most vulnerable and war-affected people in Yemeni communities. Since then, the team has worked through the distribution of unconditional in-kind food baskets and cash for food voucher activities to support thousands of war-affected Yemeni families with monthly rounds of standard food basket rations. These activities have increased the food security of households in Aden, Amran, Al Dhalea, Dhamar, Hadramout, Hajjah, Ibb, Sa’ada, Sana’a, Al-Hodeida, and Taiz governorates.
